SlideGenius AI turns Word documents, PDFs and existing PPTX files into polished, professionally-designed PowerPoint presentations in seconds. Founded by Desmond Otieno in Nairobi, Kenya, we focus on making AI outputs practical for students, researchers, educators, and business professionals.

We handle dense thesis text, charts, figures and tables, producing decks across 24+ template families. Built on top of the proven AI Text 2 Word Converter formatting engine for math, code blocks and technical content.

Privacy Policy

Privacy-first by design. Documents you upload are processed in real time, written to a temporary session file for slide generation, and the resulting .pptx file is retained for up to 3 days so you can re-download it from your history. After 3 days the file is automatically deleted. We do not claim ownership over your content.

When we store data

• Anonymous use: We do not store your uploaded document or generated .pptx after the 3-day retention window.
• Logged-in use: We store your account email and a short history entry per generated deck (title, template, slide count, created timestamp). The underlying .pptx file is purged after 3 days regardless of account state.

What we collect

• Account data: Email address and authentication details provided during sign‑up or Google sign‑in.
• Operational logs: IP address, browser/device info, and timestamps for diagnostics and security. Logs are not linked to your pasted content.
• Preferences: Dark mode and language settings stored locally in your browser.
• Ads (conditional): If AdSense is active, Google may set cookies according to its policies.

Third‑party services

• Supabase: Used for authentication and account data storage.
• Google OAuth: Optional sign‑in method using your Google account.
• Google AdSense: Ads may be shown if enabled and approved.

Data retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. You can request deletion at any time, which removes your account and related conversion history from our systems.

Security

We use transport encryption and standard security practices, but no internet service is 100% secure. Avoid sharing sensitive or proprietary data.

Acceptable use

• Use the service for lawful purposes only.
• Do not overload, abuse, or automate bulk conversions without written permission.
• Respect current word limits shown in the app for performance and fairness.
• Do not upload content you do not have the right to use, or that contains illegal, infringing, or otherwise prohibited material.

Accounts

• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• We may suspend accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service.
• You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU/EEA) to create an account.

Ownership

• You retain all rights to uploaded content and the resulting .pptx file.
• We receive a temporary, limited license solely to generate your deck; it ends once the temporary files are deleted (within the 3-day retention window).

Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use or inability to use the service.

Cookies & local storage

What we use

• Strictly necessary (always on): session token in localStorage (so you stay signed in), view preference (landing vs chat), and a short-lived CSRF mitigation token.
• Functional (always on): dark-mode toggle, language preference, chat snapshot for re-opening past presentations.
• Analytics (off by default): we do not load Google Analytics or similar trackers unless you opt in.
• Advertising (conditional): Google AdSense may set its own cookies on pages where ads are shown, in line with Google's cookie policy.

You can clear all our local storage at any time in your browser settings without losing your account.

Your privacy rights (GDPR / CCPA / global)

Depending on where you live, you have one or more of the following rights:

• Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion (right to be forgotten): ask us to delete your account and history. Use the delete-account page or email us.
• Portability: request an export of your presentation history.
• Restriction / objection: ask us to stop processing your data for specific purposes.
• Withdraw consent: for anything we processed on the basis of consent.
• Do not sell / share (CCPA): we do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with third parties for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Sub-processors & data transfers

We rely on the following third parties to run the service. Each is bound by a Data Processing Agreement and / or Standard Contractual Clauses where personal data crosses borders:

• Supabase — authentication and account storage. Hosted in the EU (eu-central-1).
• DeepSeek — AI generation. Document text is sent for the duration of one request, not retained by us beyond the 3-day session window.
• Google (OAuth + AdSense) — optional sign-in; ads where enabled.
• Render — application hosting and execution.
• Lemon Squeezy — payment processing for paid credit packs. We never store full card numbers.

Changes to these policies

We may update these terms or our privacy policy. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage or by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you keep my text?

Anonymous conversions are deleted immediately after processing. If you are logged in and have conversion history, we may store a short excerpt along with metadata for your history view.

Which AI platforms work?

Any that output text - tested with ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, DeepSeek, and similar models.

What is the document size limit?

Uploads up to 30MB are accepted; very long documents may be summarised before slide planning to keep the generated deck readable. Anonymous decks are capped at 15 slides; signed-in users get up to 40 slides per deck.

Is it free?

Yes. If ads are enabled, they will follow Google AdSense policies.

How do I delete my account?

You can request account deletion from the account settings or by emailing us. We will remove your account and associated history.
